    Food was good.. plentiful. Hot.. sevice was good, fast, and the owner was present and cordial. A very pleasant experience.

    I'm not a fan of Chicago but I will be making a trip with my wife to visit Gusto Italiano Restaurant for sure! I ordered the Giambotta; WOW! It was absolutely amazing. It was easy to tell it was homemade sauce made with love. I finished with a slice of blueberry cheesecake. It had a decadent blueberry puree sauce...wonderful. For the quality of food and service I would actually expect and be willing to pay more...it is that good. My server was great and attentive, and the rest of the staff friendly. If you're reading my review and gotten this far, just go try it out!

    Good food and generous portions. Warm and accommodating staff. However, due to the size of portions, we split an entree and we were changed a $5 fee for doing so. Not bothered by the fee per se, but we were never informed of this practice prior to seeing it on the bill. It would have been nice to know this beforehand.

    Great local place with friendly service. Garlic rolls on the table are great and I love the eggplant parmesan. You won't leave hungry. Plan on a slower meal, the service is good but slow paced most of the time, not in a bad way.
